A small observation

I watched the film of Iron Man the other night, with the DVD out and all, and one thing struck me: the basic plot of the second part of the film was a close match as far as its overall shape went for the plot of the latter part of Heinlein's Citizen of the Galaxy.  There are obviously significant differences -- the slave trade is swapped for the illegal arms trade, for example, and the blood relationship bits aren't there -- but the match-up between Rudbek and Stark seemed generally fairly good (with, of course the glaring exception that Thorby gets to be only a spy, whereas Stark (for all his involvement with S.H.I.E.L.D.) gets to be something more glamorous).
