I never ever use the OCR or any text versions of the archive.org books. I either download the full pdf, or most often, read it in book mode (where you see 2 scanned pages at once as if you were holding the book in front of you, so you don't have to download the full pdf), e.g. https://archive.org/details/piersplowmanandr0001will
