This is of some interest, and thank you for posting it. I’ve only read Jurgen, which had its points, but on the whole, didn’t impress me all that much. I could see how, in Cabell’s day, one could have fun mocking “Saint Anthony,” but with Comstock dead and buried, and the sexual revolution triumphant, for good or ill, it fell rather flat.
