I just discovered that I am a tenth cousin (or so) of Sarah Palin: we share a common ancestor in Elder William Brewster. (On the upside, Adlai Stevenson, Thomas Pynchon, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Julia Child, and Cardinal Avery Dulles are also distant connections).
