The Ontario PC's have, by regulation, replaced a position of negotiator between the Ministry of Health and the OMA with a new appointee. There is nothing very strange about this in itself.
It is worth pointing out that the Liberal appointee was to be paid at 1,500 CAD per day (explicitly 7.5 hour days) for a maximum of 100 days and his successor is to be paid at 600 CAD per hour to a maximum of 217,500 for an estimated 50 days .
The Premier must expect a sterling degree of efficiency and effectiveness for this to count as a savings to his favourite group, the taxpayers.
